The house is located in the middle of some of Italy's most spectacular countryside. Of course when it comes to Tuscany, it's hard to say exactly which area is the best, but this is definitely one of my personal favourites, and still - miraculously - quite untouched by tourism, despite it's vicinity to the city. The drive here takes about 30 minutes, and by the time you arrive you almost wish it was a bit further away, because the little winding roads in the middle of olive groves are just so pretty!
The view from the house is perfect, but the venue itself is pretty amazing too. Apart from the hotel rooms, the main building houses a terrace, a lounge area, and a restaurant. To be honest, calling it a restaurant doesn't really do the room justice. If this was a traditional country house, this room would be the heart of the house. While the furnishings have clearly been chosen carefully and with taste, the room has a warm rustic feeling, the kind of place where you could easily imagine tasting local cheeses while sipping some wine and talking with strangers-turned-into-friends. The bedrooms are simple and elegant, and all recently renovated. They also have a couple of apartments with independent entrances, for families or groups who wish to be more self-sufficient.
The venue has beautiful outdoor spaces, perfect for organising an outdoor wedding reception under the stars. You can choose between a garden and a paved scenic terrace, whatever tickles your fancy. The garden is also perfect for outdoor yoga classes, and should the weather be less than ideal, they have an indoor space where you can do your yoga practice even if it rains.
It gets better still. This is no ordinary country house, because they also have a spa complete with a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a Turkish bath. What else could you ask for? Well, as a cherry on top, this is a fully eco-conscious hotel, so you can enjoy the luxuries without even having to feel guilty! Hurrah!
So if you think this should be your next yoga retreat destination, or you would like to organise your wedding here, or just come and spend a relaxing holiday sipping wine while enjoying the views, get in touch with me by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by filling out a contact form.
P.S. I was not paid a penny for this post. I really am just that impressed with the place!
